 Event Times & Set-up Policy

Our facility is available for rent between the hours of 5 p.m. and 11 p.m., unless other arrangements have been made. Any live music or use of sound system must conclude by 10 pm, with the event concluding at 11 p.m. You may set up and decorate for your event after 9 am the day of your event. We allow for a total of three hours unless arranged otherwise. Daytime hours and more flexible afternoon/evening hours are available during the week for corporate meetings and other gatherings.

Booking & Cancellation Policy

A $1500 down payment books your date.  A $500 refundable damage/cleaning deposit, certificate of insurance (see legal below), and the remaining rental fee are due 14 days prior to your event.  Any remaining balance is due after completion of your event and accessing bar fees, any additional charges, damage and cleaning.  This is due 14 days after your event.  All payments are asked to be made by check or cash; visa payments are accessed a 5% surcharge.

If a booking is canceled in writing more than 12 months before the date of the event, all monies except ½ of the down payment will be refunded.  If written cancellation occurs 12 months or less before the event, then no monies will be refunded, unless we are able to rebook your date, then all monies except $1000 of the down payment will be refunded. No verbal cancellation will be accepted.

Alcoholic Beverage Policy

St Josef’s Winery can serve only wine and beer on the property, as required by Oregon liquor laws; no other alcoholic beverages allowed. The wine will be purchased from St Josef’s Winery and we can provide a selection of beer and champagne.  If you choose to order a special beer or champagne that we do not stock, you will be responsible for payment of the entire amount even if not used; or you may take this home.  St Josef’s Winery will provide alcohol servers who comply with OLCC rules and regulations.  Sorry- No distilled spirits will be allowed on the premises, and if found, will be grounds for shutting down the event (since we can lose our license due to this!)   We charge a $5 per bottle corkage fee on retail pricing of our wines.  Last call is 10pm.

Catering

We are happy to provide you with this list of St Josef’s approved caterers; they have proven to provide excellent food preparation and professional service.  They each offer a wide array of choices on food and prices.  Please note that we no longer allow other caterers to be brought on premise.

 The caterer is allowed the use of the cooler and kitchen prep area and special arrangements must be made for use of the commercial oven and dishwasher. The caterer is responsible for set up & clean up of all dishes, food items and bar, and  provides a refundable security deposit of $250 to cover the loss/damage of any of our commercial equipment or utensils.

Tables & Chairs

St Josef’s will provide enough tables and chairs to accommodate the people for the venue you have chosen.   However, our chairs are not to be used for ceremonies at the pond; you must rent these.  St Josef’s will only be responsible for its own table and chair setup/breakdown.

Rental Items

We recommend Barclay Event Rentals in Clackamas  www.barclayeventspdx.com (503) 656-9587 for additional rental items.  All rental items, other than those included in the facility rental agreement are the responsibility of the lessee. All non-St Josef’s rental items must be removed from the winery no later than 11 a.m. the day following your event, with all personal items & decorations removed on the evening of your event.

Decorations

Decorations make your event ~ use your imagination!  But please don’t use ~ nails, duct tape, glue guns, or anything that is difficult to clean up, such as rice or confetti.  You may set up and decorate after 9 am the day of your event; we allow for a total of three hours. All decorations must be removed that day/evening or by 11a.m. the following day if there is not another event booked on the following day.

The Legal Stuff…

The Client agrees that it and all party members will not hold St Josef’s Winery liable for any damage, injury, costs or other losses whatsoever, including all attorney fees at trial and on appeal, in connection with any supplier of goods and/or services or guest on St Josefs’ premises before, during, or after the event contracted below.  The client further agrees to indemnify and defend St Josef’s Winery should any such claims be made against St Josef’s by any supplier/caterer or guest.  A certificate of insurance naming St Josef’s Wine Cellar, Inc. as additional insured for the date of the event in the amount of $1,000,000 must accompany the remaining rental fee.
