Small & Unique, St Josef’s has produced premium, handcrafted wines since 1983. Wines that have won multitudes of awards in prestigious wine contests including Gold Medals in both the NY Wine Show in NYC and the National Orange Competition in Southern California. Because we are family owned & operated and grow nearly 90% of our own fruit we can make the wines the way we like them. Our goal is to grow & produce wines that everyone can enjoy- without worrying about your ‘201 k’. And striving to make the next vintage the best one yet….
Owner/Winemaker Josef oversees each fermentation, every barrel tasting and even each bottling. It is this hands on dedication that has earned St Josef’s awards & accollactes for over 20 years. We are not a ‘production’ driven company worrying about quarterly shipping or sales & profit quotas. We make wine simply because we like to. That means that some years the reds may be aged 8 months in barrels or 18 months. The wine is in charge- not the sales guys. Currently we have 4 vineyards with 35 acres, producing both red and white wines. Because we are small and family oriented we focus on producing only limited quantities of each varietal. For Red Wine lovers we grow & estate bottle Pinot Noir (Oregon’s Most Famous Varietal), Merlot, Syrah. We also produce big Cabernets & Merlots with fruit sourced from the Layne Vineyard. White wines grown in our vineyards include, Pinot Gris (or in Italy- Pinot Grigio), Chardonnay , Gewurztraminer & Riesling. We are also very proud to sell some of our grapes to award winning wineries across the NW and California.
